Apple finally announced their new tablet computer today. They call it the “iPad“. I am sure a many of us were waiting for it since the rumors started on it.

I am actually really excited and can’t wait to go see it in store. It looks kind of like a bigger iPod Touch at the first look but it has really cool features. I think 3g option is pretty cool and of course it gives you a bigger screen = more views of things you could do on your iPhone like you can view your inbox as you are in an email.

It probably has tons of restrictions too by the way, hey its Apple, we should expect that. Also I don’t know what and that’s if we can do any kind of development on it.

Pros

  • Multi-touch – I beileve this is the first tablet computer that has multi-touch. Correct me if I’m wrong.
  • 10hrs of battery
  • Charge through your computer
  • Price. I think it is a really good price (starting from $500) for a computer, especially from Apple
  • App Store. I think Apple’s best product.

Cons

  • Highest memory: 64GB. wait what? Yes a computer with only 64gb of memory. I don’t know what they were thinking.
  • No HD output.
  • No flash support!!!
  • No background applications
  • No USB port

  1. I am wholeheartedly looking to buy the iPad, and I am excited to see what kinds of games and apps will be programmed for it. I just don’t figure out some of the nitpicky criticisms in this site. Size of the bezel?? Pffff!

      1. That criticism is on a different page that I linked to in the article. I don’t particularly agree with that one either. It’s not that big I think. but others are the ones I agree with.

  2. This ipad will excel, but not as a reader but maybe with some app being coded right now.

  3. While numerous application programs can be particularly useable in the initial phase is short, exactly a topic of time before many of its applications programmes will be superseded by iPad made for larger screens. Numerous of them are not needful, only used as a normal web browser, like Facebook, for example, rather of a little version of the iPhone to use …:)

  4. Apple’s a company I’ve enjoyed for some time, they produce gadgets that is visually beautiful while working like a champ. Alot of companies aren’t like that, it’s typically one or the other. Businesses don’t usually take aesthetics seriously like Apple. With that being said I’ve got to say that I’m very excited about the upcoming iSlate. One thing I question though, is it too soon? I think that this product may be ahead of its time. What do you think?
